The origin of Margilan silk (aka Rarefied Silk) is Uzbekistan.
This amazing silk with a pearlescent shine is extremely lightweight and it's ideal for nuno felting. It's perfect for lining in felted pieces since it doesn't add thickness, and especially for nuno felting wearables that you want to be lightweight and drapey.
The Margilan silk is a natural white and dyes beautifully.
